Ginger Cook Speaks
Learn the Secrets of a Master Painter
About Ginger Cook
Ginger Cook is an award-winning artist who has long been recognized for her exceptional balance of color and light. Her bold strokes of thick impasto intertwined with softly layered, translucent washes are as distinctive as they are magical. The effect of natural stucco and multiple media that are layered upon her canvas provides an illusion of 3D, which gives a feeling of stepping into her painted scenery.

Ginger delights her patrons and the art industry alike.  Her unique painting style and mastery is held in high regard by major manufactures of fine art acrylic paint the world over.

So much so that In 1997 she received four, fist place awards as well as the overall Grand Prize from Liquitex’s “Paint a Difference” competition.  Acrylic artists around the world had submitted artwork to this open call, which represented the best of Acrylic Painting. Liquitex subsequently featured her as a master acrylic artist, with a show of her paintings at the National Academy of Design in New York City.

Utrecht Acrylics also paid her a grand complement by featuring her using their paints and her artwork in Artist Magazine the following year.

Then in 2007, Chromline Acrylic Paint of Australia asked her to test their newest product and represent it to various art groups and university students in the southwestern region of the U.S.

Ginger now demonstrates Matisse Paints, a major Australian Paint company, through Jerry’s Artarama stores throughout the Houston, Texas area along with her newly-published DVD entitled, “Acrylic Secrets,” which will be available on this website but is currently on Amazon.com as well.

Ginger Cook is a frequent lecturer and teacher, now offering some of her best kept secrets in Art Licensing seminars, Painting Classes, one-on-one consulting, and numerous other engagements across the country to help aspiring artists and fellow masters alike.
